The understanding factor is that there is a direct link between triglycerides and insulin levels. In many people the link is quiet strong. You can control over your blood lipids only by controlling your insulin levels. If you are successful in lowering the levels of insulin in your blood you can attain normal triglycerides easily. This research showed that this diet in reality increases the triglycerides. It is not at all surprising because high insulin also causes high triglycerides and very low insulin also increases the triglycerides.
